Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 1 cup chickpeas (soaked overnight)

  • 1/4 cup Turna Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  • 2 tablespoons tahini

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

  • 1 garlic clove

  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin

  • 1/4 cup water (optional, to adjust the consistency)

  • Extra olive oil (for garnish)

  • Paprika or oregano (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chickpeas: Drain the soaked chickpeas and cook them until soft, about 45 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  2. Make the Hummus: In a food processor, add the chickpeas, tahini, garlic, salt, cumin, lemon juice, and Turna Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Process until smooth. Add water to adjust the consistency if needed.

  3. Mix Well: Transfer the hummus to a bowl and mix again.

  4. Garnish: Drizzle with Turna Extra Virgin Olive Oil and sprinkle with paprika or oregano.

  5. Serve: Serve chilled with pita or fresh vegetables.
