Ingredients:

500 g minced meat (preferably a mix of beef and lamb)

1 large onion, grated

1 slice stale bread (soaked and squeezed)

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp cumin

2 tbsp Turna Sunflower Oil (for frying the meatballs)

3 medium tomatoes (grated or blended)
-
2 green peppers, chopped
-
1/3 cup water
Instructions:

Prepare the Meatballs: In a bowl, mix the grated onion, soaked bread, salt, black pepper, and cumin with the minced meat. Take walnut-sized portions and shape them into meatballs.

Fry the Meatballs: Heat Turna Sunflower Oil in a pan and fry the meatballs until golden brown on all sides.

Prepare the Sauce: In the same pan, add the tomato puree and chopped green peppers. Pour in the water and season with salt and black pepper.

Simmer: Place the fried meatballs into the sauce and cook on low heat for 10–12 minutes.

Serve: Serve hot. Goes perfectly with rice or mashed potatoes.
