  • 500 g minced meat (preferably a mix of beef and lamb)

  • 1 large onion, grated

  • 1 slice stale bread (soaked and squeezed)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp cumin

  • 2 tbsp Turna Sunflower Oil (for frying the meatballs)

  • 3 medium tomatoes (grated or blended)

  • 2 green peppers, chopped

  2. Fry the Meatballs: Heat Turna Sunflower Oil in a pan and fry the meatballs until golden brown on all sides.

  3. Prepare the Sauce: In the same pan, add the tomato puree and chopped green peppers. Pour in the water and season with salt and black pepper.

  4. Simmer: Place the fried meatballs into the sauce and cook on low heat for 10–12 minutes.

  5. Serve: Serve hot. Goes perfectly with rice or mashed potatoes.
