One of the most beloved dishes of summer, stuffed zucchini blossoms are enriched with the rich flavor of Turna Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Fresh, healthy, and light, this elegant dish will add both taste and beauty to your table.

Ingredients:

  • 10–12 fresh zucchini blossoms (for stuffing)

  • 1 cup rice

  • 1/4 cup Turna Extra Virgin Olive Oil (for filling and cooking)

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion

  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed

  • 1/2 cup chopped tomato

  • 1/4 cup chopped green olives (optional)

  • 1/4 cup freshly chopped dill

  • 1/4 cup freshly chopped mint

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 1/2 tea glass lemon juice

  • 1 cup hot water

Instructions:

Prepare the Zucchini Blossoms:
Gently wash the zucchini blossoms and trim the stems. Carefully open each blossom to prepare them for stuffing.

Make the Filling:
In a pan, sauté the chopped onion and garlic in Turna Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Add the rice and cook for a few more minutes.

Add Vegetables and Spices:
To the rice, add the chopped tomatoes, green olives (optional), salt, pepper, sugar, lemon juice, fresh mint, and dill. Mix well and add 1 cup of hot water. Let the mixture simmer until the liquid is absorbed.

Stuff the Blossoms:
Carefully fill each zucchini blossom with the rice mixture. Gently fold the tips of the flowers to keep the filling inside.

Cooking:
Arrange the stuffed zucchini blossoms in a pot. Drizzle with Turna Extra Virgin Olive Oil and pour in 1 cup of hot water. Cover the pot and cook over low heat for about 25–30 minutes.
