Orange Celery

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium peeled and diced celery
  • 2 squeezed and grated oranges
  • 1 peeled and diced carrot
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 bunch of finely chopped dill
  • 3 tablespoons of Turna Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 glass of water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)

Recipe:

Roasting the onions; Heat 3 tablespoons of Turna Extra Virgin Olive Oil in a medium saucepan. Add finely chopped onion and fry until the onions turn transparent.

Adding Celery and Carrot; Add the diced celery and carrot to the fried onions. Fry the vegetables for about 5 minutes until lightly coloured.

Adding the orange juice and spices; Add orange juice, grated orange peel, salt, pepper and sugar (if you are using) to the pot. Stir the mixture well.

Cooking: Add 1 cup of water to the saucepan and bring the mixture to a boil. After boiling, turn the heat to low. Cover the saucepan and cook for about 20-25 minutes until the vegetables are getting soft.

Adding dill and serving; When the cooking process is completed, add finely chopped dill and mix. Serve the orange celeriac warm. You can serve this dish as a main course or as a side dish.
